Escape Consumerism: Freedom From More

Why We’re Not Minimalists

We believe in living with less—but we don’t identify as minimalists.

Minimalism has helped many people find freedom, clarity, and peace. We respect that deeply. But for us, the idea of minimalism sometimes becomes too rigid—too focused on appearances, numbers, or “doing it right.” That’s not what we’re here for.

We’re here for peace over clutter, not perfection. We believe in buying intentionally, not impulsively. We wait before buying. We research. We save up to buy the right item once—instead of grabbing something temporary “just to get by.”

Sometimes we keep things that make no sense to anyone else. And sometimes we let go of things that others might keep. Our goal isn’t to hit a number. It’s to feel calm, free, and clear in our space, our time, and our energy.

If minimalism works for you, we’re truly glad—and we hope you’ll respect our approach in kind. Different paths can lead to the same kind of peace. We’re walking ours with open minds and open hearts.
